In the OT and Industry-specific Solutions and Services quadrant, ISG highlighted NTT DATA’s capabilities in smart urban infrastructure, along with its energy and water optimization platforms that support utilities in meeting Europe sustainability requirements. This includes the Syntphony Water Management platform, which enhances efficiency and helps utilities reduce losses. ISG also acknowledged NTT DATA’s work in nature-based carbon sequestration through the Syntphony Environmental Markets platform, as well as its expansion into circular biofuels and sustainable food value chains.
In the IT Solutions and Services quadrant, ISG noted NTT DATA’s improvement in low-power AI and software optimization, including its Green Function as a Service offering and commitment to the Green Software Foundation. These capabilities help clients reduce emissions through applications designed with lower Software Carbon Intensity (SCI). The report also highlighted NTT DATA’s data center sustainability practices, such as the heat recovery system at its Berlin site, and its inclusive device lifecycle services, which prioritize accessibility and circularity.
Across both quadrants, ISG emphasized NTT DATA’s integrated approach to digital sustainability, combining OT, sustainable IT and platform-led innovation. The Syntphony platform suite was cited as a key differentiator, enabling clients to design and operate sustainable, resilient and future-ready operations at scale.
"NTT DATA is notable for circular IT engineering, low-power AI models and inclusive device lifecycle services that align with Europe’s sustainability and accessibility mandates,” said Matt Warburton, Lead Author of the ISG Provider Lens Digital Sustainability Quadrant Report 2025. “NTT DATA’s expansion into forestry, circular biofuels and food supply chain domains demonstrates its growing relevance in Europe’s OT landscape.”
“These recognitions reflect our continued investment in digital sustainability and its commitment to supporting clients as regulatory and operational demands accelerate across Europe” said David Costa, Chief Sustainability Officer, NTT DATA. “As organizations increasingly shift from compliance-focused programs to value-driven sustainability strategies, NTT DATA helps enterprises connect sustainability objectives to measurable outcomes such as energy savings, emissions reduction, operational efficiency and long-term resilience.”
